Carmen Argote received her M.F.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her practice includes sculpture, drawing, video and site-based installations. Argote’s work investigates domestic structures by deconstructing systems of categorization, architecture and urban form. Drawing on her personal experiences, Argote addresses cultural and political patterns that influence our daily routines and encounters. The artist lives and works in Los Angeles.
